William turned 6 Months back in December (Dec. 1st)! I’m obviously a little behind…haha but the important thing is that I am catching up now!
Thanks to instagram, I was able to go back and remember all the fun things he was learning to do in November. He had his 6-month well-check and the doctor said he was looking perfect for his age. He weighed 15 lbs 13 oz and was 26 inches long. While he was in the 20th percentile in most categories, his head circumference was in the 87th, making any winter hats we tried to put on a little tight! But we still put them on anyway to keep him warm, but mostly for the pictures. ;)
At 6 months, Will wanted our attention 100% of the time, only wanted to be sitting (he HATED being on his stomach when he was awake), and he would put just about everything into his mouth. He was on the verge of army crawling but couldn’t quite figure it out, which made him very frustrated! He’d be on his stomach trying to move around, but after realizing he couldn’t, he’d just start flailing his arms and legs and crying for us to come do something. We also started giving him some solid foods like sweet potato and butternut squash, and he feel in love. Will is pretty good at eating with a spoon now and can gobble up the food we give him pretty quick. I can tell he is a foodie, just like his dad.
I can’t believe that we already made it to the half-year mark with William. Watching your baby grow makes you realize how fast time goes by. They are living evidence of the clock ticking. Each day they are learning new things and physically growing into the person they will become. Some days I can hear that metaphorical clock ticking and it fills me with sadness, but it also motivates me to make the most of the time I have with William (and all my loved ones). Life is so short when you look at the bigger picture. I want to do better to make that time, every day, meaningful.
